1	“If I am honest, I find that this course was rather uninteresting…but this was probably because some of the lecturers were boring, and at times I would drift off. I am sure that most students including myself, dislike writing long essays, so this was probably why at times I dreaded writing all 10+ lectures…I didn’t feel motivated to write all the lectures up..and it was tempting to write all the lectures the last minute. However, I have strongly agreed with most of the evaluation, because I find Mark an EXTREMELY organised tutor, he would reply to our emails promptly, and give us advice whenever we needed to!!!! I find communication the vital element in any course, and Mark has really been a very great tutor. He is generous , understanding and funny. 😀 What also worked well was the fact that we given a generous amount of time to write up all our lecture, so there was no excuse.”
1	“This course, I felt was one of the most organised out of many. Mark was an extremely dedicated and organised tutor, I liked the way he created a blog for GAMSWEN and told us to create Twitter accounts. This ensured that students were prepared for each lecture and knew what was on the day’s agenda. Not only that, but our tutor was also dedicated to sending us emails prior to the lesson, reminding us of the guests who would be giving the lecture. I find this is what some tutors lack, to be honest. Also, the emails Mark sent would include a little introduction to the lecturer so we would be a little familiar to them, the course was very well structured too. GAMSWEN I agree with Rachel Armstrong is indeed a great way of documenting on these lectures. What also worked well was on the GAMSWEN page we could access the videos which Mark recorded, this ensured that even if some people could not attend a session, they had no excuse to ‘not know’ what the lecture was about. Another good aspect was how we could look back at the videos and rewind as many times as we desired, so we could understand what someone was saying. For example Neil Spiller’s lectures were interesting but some ideas I could not quite comprehend so I could look back. The lectures being held in the theatre was a good place. It felt like a cinema and had space to breathe and relax while taking in ideas. What also worked well was our tutor Mark, in my opinion I feel that if a tutor is dedicated and understanding, also in this case, someone who replies to student’s emails promptly. This motivates me to work harder as if our tutor is likes this, then we should be able to reflect the attitude.”
